There’s now a glut of space in barns .... open quickie clinics for treatment of undetermined rashes in them.

Didn’t Lawrence of Arabia own several of this model and wasn’t he killed riding on one?

"Some blistering riposte, going on." No, not riposte.
These comments are all original.
(But after the rash there was some blistering.)

"Didn't Lawrence of Arabia own several of this model and wasn't he killed riding on one?" He named all but one of his bikes "George."
He died riding "George VII."

I think that a moment before Lawrence went flying off that motorcycle to his death, its name quickly changed from “George VII” to “you stupid GIT!!!”

The motorcycles were dubbed the "Rolls-Royce of Motorcycles" by H. D. Teague of The Motor Cycle newspaper. Approximately 3048 motorcycles (19 models) were made in the 21 years of production; around a third of that production still exists. T. E. Lawrence ("Lawrence of Arabia") owned eight of these motorcycles and died from injuries sustained when he crashed number seven, the eighth was on order.
Sounds like a rare and special motorcycle.
