We were blissfully ignorant and lucky to not be snowed in with a 30’ trailer that was not winter prepped.
It is always a good idea to be at least a little winter prepped here, especially in the mountains, where winter conditions can happen at any time. There was one storm in April that dumped about four feet of snow between Denver and Colorado Springs. People commute that drive to work and so they get complacent and unprepared. In that storm many cars got stuck and four people ended up freezing to death.
If you go camping outside, it can go from 100 degrees to almost freezing at night.
