A top European art gallery has come under fire after removing controversial terms such as 'negro' and 'Mohammedan' from the descriptions of its artworks over fears they could cause offence. The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam has been accused of pandering to political correctness after taking the decision to remove terms which may be deemed offensive from around 200 titles and descriptions of artworks in its collection.
