This election cycle economics and safety are the concern. People in Iowa are hurting for jobs. You can pray all you want, and the evangelical leaders can lecture all they want about prayer and whom to vote for but in the end economics are very very powerful.

Iowans will look at the guy who has created tens of thousands of jobs or the guy who has voted on a lot of bills. The differences could not be any clearer.

As I said economics is very very powerful thing this cycle around especially when unemployment is above 20%.

The President doesn’t create jobs.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump’s idea of jumpstarting the economy would be to pass a Son of Stimulus type bill, loaded with pork projects. Business as usual. As a businessman he would have an urge to tinker with, command and control the economy rather than doing the right, conservative, laissez-faire approach.
