Your analysis is great. So Scrooge was actually this misunderstood really nice guy who employed the otherwise unemployable Crachitt to help out his son Tim.
Free ticket or not, it is not unreasonable to expect a little decorum during any show. Now if she had a free ticket to a punk rock concert I would agree.
