My biggest ‘American concern’ is antibiotics fed to animals to put weight on them. That needs to be stopped.

You’re right - the use of antibiotics in livestock as a preventative over cure encourages the rise of antibiotic resistant bacteria that can jump species.

Antibiotics don't make them fatter, they just ward off disease. They improve calf survival on open range and are usually administered during branding (and making little bulls into steers).
