Catholic means universal. So the language was once universal. The Mass is not that difficult a text. It’s not like reading 400 pages of Talmud. So why they change is beyond me.

The Latin Mass is beautiful. Also, Jews don't necessarily speak in Hebrew (leaving the revived Hebrew of Israel to the side) but for centuries they used it in their worship and still do. It is a way to connect to the past.

I never bought the argument people were leaving the church because they used Latin.

What sounds more majestic? The "Holy Ghost" or "Spiritus Sanctus"?
