"George Lucas told a story about everyman, everywoman characters who were nobodies who had to step up and become somebody. The idea that there would be a new crop of nobodies in the Star Wars universe who didn't realize yet they would become somebody, that was a very powerful feeling."
To create a story of the new "nobodies," Abrams wrote the Force Awakens script with Lawrence Kasdan, who co-wrote The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi (plus Raiders of the Lost Ark for Lucas, too). They also had the "somebodies" coming back, including Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Carrie Fisher as Leia Organa and Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker. "We wanted to see them after 30 years," Kasdan told PEOPLE. "There was nothing really that we had to do but there were enormous possibilities of what we could do."

Lens flares. If you have enough of them, the movie cannot suck.

Lens flare is to film what cowbell is to music.
Actually, the fact that Lucas liked it worries me. It might suck.

I thought that with all the geriatrics, the title should have been “Return of the Prune Juice”, or “The Arthritis Strikes Back”.
oh probably not, but he was the big main enemy you know lol. there was a lot of dumb stuff I was able to overlook since it did not dominate the screen for very long.
I liked Creed, but was only interested when Rocky was on the screen. It was also very sad to me to see never say die Rocko
So feeble.
Very few directors can be trusted with CGI’s. Lucas is not one of them.
Into Dorkness was vomitus.

Did you hear that Abrams and Bay are going to collaborate?
Yep, they will finally make exploding lens flare a reality!
