No a real smart way to make a spiked baseball bat: The “heads” of the spikes one way will block and blunt the blow from the pointed end of the “spikes” going the opposite direction. Either way you swing it, you get less force on the spikes because the bolts stop the penetration!
Be better to have 3 sets of spikes, with the lag bolts (which are not very sharp in the first place) all “aimed” out the same direction. Guys making it obviously NEVER took a basic physics or engineering class in mass, momentum, and shear force.
