The 2nd Amendment is a constraint on Government, just like most of the "Bill of Rights" and besides it is a right NOT a grant, you can have a gun, you are not furnished with one!

Government Health Care (GHC) is a grant, it forces Government to do something, thus becoming more intrusive and more antithetical to individual freedom. Taken to its logical conclusion, the grant of Government to provide universal health care would mean total government control over all actions that may cause health problems, now or in the future. Think of the expansion of the power of the EPA in the decades since Richard Nixon created it.

Thus the 2nd Amendment is a limited, individual and singular restraint on power while GHC is an unlimited expansion of government power.
