I think that cooking doesn’t destroy prions, so I’m not sure burning would work. Maybe incineration?

We used to have a furnace that would have incinerated
anything; but have moved over to mostly wood heat with a
few area electric heaters. - We don’t eat a huge amount of
meat; and throw very little of the scraps away in the
compost. Mostly, the dog gets all the meat scraps. Chicken
bones go in the regular garbage. Husband doesn’t hunt our
deer; hasn’t in the 30 yrs. we’ve lived out here. He does
use the squirrels for target practice out front. (They
steal his pears and he has grown to detest them.) The
deer have it made in the shade on our place - posted and
we don’t eat them - and they know it!
