What about scimitars (aka head removal tools)?
I saw this post, aimed at an ultra-lib on another site...
So, I’m sitting here on the morning after another horrible mass-shooting, this time in San Bernadino. In the last couple of weeks, we’ve had mass-shootings in Colorado and Paris. Two of the three shootings had something in common, but that’s not why I’m writing this.
There are, as of last night, many calls over social media to ‘step up and do something’ about access and availability of guns. Many of the posts, tweets, and messages are attempting to shame people (and legislators) for “doing nothing†to “stop the violenceâ€. What these posters and tweeters seem to want is the complete and total banning of private citizens from ever being able to own a firearm of any kind. They believe that the removal of guns from the public’s hands will end gun violence.
I say....they couldn’t be more wrong.
You see...people are inventive. People are devious. And a person, especially if they have evil intent, will find a way to get a hold of a gun and ammo for it. If you shut down gun shops, people will just move to back alleys and do business there...or maybe in the middle of a forest...or out of the back of a van. As long as there is a desire to get them, there WILL be someone who will supply them. (Remember what happened with Prohibition?) The amount of law enforcement needed to enforce what these people want would require a massive hiring of law enforcement, and they’d have to be EVERYWHERE...a logistical impossibility.
(Despite the fact that I don’t own one, I have no problem with LAW-ABIDING CITIZENS having them. And, as long as those gun owners are responsible and continue to store and use their weapons in a responsible way, I am okay with that.)
Some think that if guns are banned, law-abiding citizens would just turn them in...problem solved. That is wishful thinking.
There are somewhere in the neighborhood of over 200 MILLION guns owned by private citizens in the US. There are not as many gun owners, but the number is still in the multiple millions. I cannot say exactly what will happen if, by some set of circumstances, a nation-wide ban on firearms (and, by fiat, repeal of the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution) is passed into law. Even so, I can say what a good number of people will do....they’ll fight back. They may bury their guns in undisclosed locations. They may hide their guns by giving them to trusted neighbors or family. There are dozens of ways to hide a firearm if you don’t want it found. Do you think that going house-to-house and searching EVERY home for weapons will work? Because that’s likely what it’s going to take.
There are also those who will gladly give their weapons to the authorities. Bullets first.
I have seen people say that is exactly what they will do to any police or government agency who attempts to remove their firearms. How much of this is braggadocio...I don’t know. But, I have also seen posts and such that tell us that, for every person who says publicly what they’ll do , there are ten who will say nothing. They will simply act when the time comes. Remember the quote from the late Charleton Heston, former actor and president of the National Rifle Association? At the 129th NRA meeting in 2000, he closed his speech by saying...
“So, as we set out this year to defeat the divisive forces that would take freedom away, I want to say those fighting words for everyone within the sound of my voice to hear and to heed.... ‘From my cold, dead hands!’”
And there are many, many gun owners who will do just that. It won’t matter what is arrayed against them...police, SWAT teams, federal agents, or even the military. They will go down fighting. And there are many, MANY more of them than you can possibly imagine.
Not only that, many of them are militarily-trained, either as current or former police, or as military veterans. They know of ‘un-conventional’ means to fight back...and some of them are quite ‘dirty’. They’ve learned the tactics of guerrilla warfare, and the methods and tactics used by less-than-savory people in other parts of the world to effectively ‘get the job done’. They have no problem fighting against a government that they believe has abandoned the ideals of what they believe ‘freedom’ stands for. And they will use whatever means necessary to do so.
I am not writing this to scare anyone. I just want you to see exactly what you may be dealing with if your desire to remove all weapons from American citizens becomes a reality. Should the government make the determination that private citizens may no longer possess firearms, it WILL be a bloodbath. It’s not that I myself say there will be, but there are thousands of Americans out there who have said there would be....and likely countless others who silently agree with them.

why won’t the CONgress impeach and remove him?
why do the people tolerate their unwillingness to remove this feces stain?
apathy, stupidity, fear, ... ?
whatever the reasons, the results are about to blow up in our faces.
If it had been Boston, the newly married couple would have brought pressure cookers to the holiday seminar.
