God has a voodoo doll. It has a Cleveland Brown jersey on. And He stuck another pin in it Monday night. For Clevelanders, I donât know how a loss can be more brutal than this one. Cleveland 27, Baltimore 27. Three seconds left, Browns lining up for the game-winning field goal. Youâre on the verge of sweeping the team you hate the most, the despised Ravens, the team that youâll always think was stolen from you and kept your city without football for three seasons. The kicker, Travis Coons, is 18-for-18 as a Brown. In another miserable year at the Factory of Sadness, thereâs about to be a highlight. A single, solitary, sort of pathetic highlight in a meaningless game, but a highlight nonetheless.

Can’t really hate on Browns or their fans, but as an organization that drafted “Johnny Football,” they get what they deserve. Ditto Tampa Bay.
Bad clock management in the last minute.
The Bucs are 5-6 two-thirds into the season, Jameis Winston hasn't made a fool of himself off the field yet, and he seems to be learning how to play NFL football. I didn't expect any of the above four months ago.
“Yet” being the operative word.
But I guess if Cam Newton can change, so can Crab Legs.
As a Bears fan, I never realized how good I had it until I saw that Browns video yesterday. A Bears fan’s existence is mediocre, although we seem to be on the upswing, a Cleveland Browns existence is miserable. Hang in their Browns fans I hope it gets better for you guys, although i hate Johnny football, but I imagine a lot of the Browns fan base does as well.
We seem to use that one a lot. Seems like every year.
Back at the beginning of the season I saw some 30-something woman in a bar wearing an orange t-shirt proudly proclaiming the name "JOHNNY F***ING FOOTBALL".
Haven't seen that her wearing that t-shirt since.
I watched that game and felt real bad for the Brown’s fans.
That being said, there was a story on esp. about how they have used their first round picks over the last twenty years and how the average years that they have gotten out of their picks is the lowest in football.
I watched them lining up to kick and honestly I would have been shocked if the kick was good and they won the game. When it got blocked and returned for a TD, I said well that’s the Browns.
We Lions fans feel your pain. Although the Lions are on a roll as of now.
Yeah just long enough to screw up a good draft pick. The whole organization is filled with idiots.
Actually the rest of the Lions’ schedule is pretty winnable, if somehow they can run the table, 9-7 should get them into the playoffs. I think they will whup Green Bay tomorrow night.
So you haven’t been a lions fan long? :)
9-7 gets the Ford Family another upcoming season of filled seats with season ticket sales, a lost chance at a decent draft and the band will play on.
50 plus years of watching them totally game the fans...They spend more energy attacking their critics in the Press then they do within their organization to win games.
See the last few weeks of Detroit Free Press/News sports stories related to the CBS affiliate they wanted to control.
And how the Owner lied to the Press about a nationwide search for a new Club President. She then hired her Real Estate expert as the President-who just by the way helped her make the decision to fire the previous one.
Actually I wish Martha had been running the team instead of William Clay all these years, might have won a few Super Bowls along the way.
STFU about the “Crab Legs”.
You don’t know what you are talking about.
If I were a 19 year old kid in Publix and the guy behind the seafood counter handed me a bundle of crab legs and said they were on the house, I would probably walk out without paying for them either, especially if the price tag on them said “0.00”. I have had butchers in Publix mark meat down by like 90% because it was on the last day it could be sold. You expect an employee to be authorized to set a price or a discount.
Winston has turned out to be a team leader with a great work ethic. Just because your Seminole Derangement Syndrome wants him to be a criminal doesn’t make it so.
Haha now that is funny. Let’s see what the Real Estate Expert does for the lions. I am betting nothing. The Ford’s don’t hire competent people to run the Football Team. They hire people they are comfortable with. Qualifications regarding Football operations are irrelevant.
We seem to use that one a lot. Seems like every year.

And it was true in 1963.
Hmmm... Did I hwert him wittle feewings?
You’re the one that needs to “STFU” and doesn’t know what they are talking about.
At that time, Winston said in a statement: “I went to the supermarket with the intent to purchase dinner but made a terrible mistake for which I’m taking full responsibility. In a moment of youthful ignorance, I walked out of the store without paying for one of my items.”
In re to his revised story basket you put your eggs into...
Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher, asked Wednesday during the ACC spring teleconference about Winston’s comments, said “it was totally news to me” and that the Seminoles’ compliance department was looking into the matter.
“I had no knowledge of it until I came in this morning,” Fisher said. “But FSU, we did make contact with Publix back then to make sure there was nothing going on.”
“The details disclosed by Winston in that interview were not previously known to the University,” the school said in a statement Wednesday. “As is the case with all matters of this type, we will work in partnership with the NCAA to determine whether a violation occurred.”
Publix said the company conducted an investigation at the time and found “no information that would corroborate the story that there was any arrangement for Jameis or any other FSU athlete to get any product for free.”
Maria Brous, Publix’s director of media and community relations, told USA Today Sports that the report from the sheriff’s office was consistent with his statement a year ago. She also said that Publix employees were asked directly if there was any arrangement with Winston.
“There was no information that would lead us to believe that any of our associates were involved in giving away product,” Brous told USA Today Sports.
I’m sure there was a $0.00 tag on the woman he allegedly raped too.
On the good side, here’s something to life your spirits.
