Unknown. But it's pretty definite that it'll be in 9mm Parabellum, and it could be made available to other federal law enforcement agencies as well. And the military is keeping a close watch for the M17 handgun program too.
If the 9mm is your chosen cartridge, you might do well to consider an initial *learning platform* as an initial purchase, with the possibility of a follow-on later gun, either the future FBI or Remington design, or something that's yet to be announced.
Very popular with the Israelis during my last trip there, though long guns were much more common then. But the recent terrorist attacks have changed that.
Yes.
CZ is Russian manufactured, right?
CZ = Czech Republic
I have an XD9 in both the 4” service and 3” subcompact. Flawless. I highly recommend both.
CZ products are imported exclusively by CZ-USA, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the parent company, Ceska Zbrojovka a.s. Uhersky Brod, (CZUB) of the Czech Republic. Our firearms have been available through normal channels in the US since 1991, through such importers/distributors as Bauska, Action Arms and Magnum Research.
Company HQ for the U.S. Market is in Kansas.
i’m a GLOCK guy too, usually 19 in summer, 26 in winter, and 42 (.380 pre GLOCL 43) for my around the house and gym carry.
Have you considered the Sig 2022? Its alot cheaper than the 226.
>>i got a Glock 19 gen 3.....best firearm ive ever owned. I just know its gonna fire everytime. Love it.
If I could only own one handgun, it would certainly be a Glock. I would choose the 17, but the 19 is close second (for me).
There are more than a few feds, some ofd them busy and knowledgable handgun instructors, who have their hopes that the weapon chosen will be the SIG P320, or a derivation thereof.
I've played with one a good bit and shot one a little [about 200 rounds] and liked it; it's not too bad as a hideout gun. As a belt or primary carry gun, it's not my first choice, but it's not a bad choice.
