Had this event taken place in the northeast, the baby might have been the one in the jaws.

I have seen coyotes roaming in my neighborhood in the daylight and I must say it bothers me.
Unfortunately I have not seen them on my property where I can take a shot at them.
Not quite true. My wife did spot one in the yard but by the time I had picked up my rifle it was gone.
