I haven’t seen any self aware ghouls yet. They are all feral.The ferals are SO much better than the other FO's. They leap and lurch and dodge much like the "28 Days Later" rage-zombies.
But yes, I have met the normal ghouls. Well, one. A settler.

Yea they are crazy I love how when they jump at you they fall and kinda slide across the ground before they get up again.
I don’t remember seeing any self-aware ghouls in FO3 or FNV. Definitely haven’t seen any in FO4 yet, loved ghouls in the first two games.
