Actually I owe you a better explanation that my earlier post.
As you know, I am I am a hero of the people (trademark applied for). I have brought light to the darkness. I am an inspiration to others. I rush in where lesser men fear to tread.
You see, I have become a SYMBOL. A shining beacon of justice the poor huddled and downtrodden masses can turn to in their moment of need. And I am there for them. They would not know what to do if not for my actions. They tell me this multiple times a day.
Yet though my deeds are legendary; Though my sword is long, hard, thick and rather dark, I simply cannot be the one thing the filthy and wretched need.
Beauty.
And thats where Lydia comes in. For as you know, Lydia not only bears my burdens, but the burdens of Terrible and Mighty Talos...he who is both man and divine!
We know these burdens as the Holy relics of Talos. And Lydia carries them around proudly. And so people look upon the Holy Relics of Talos and they have that which I cannot provide. Beauty. Things of beauty.
Now imagine for a moment, some pirate or bandit or minion of a dragon priest were to somehow evade my ever-vigilant eye and abscond with the Holy Relics of Talos. I know, it strikes in you a sense of dread. I can relate. So it is incumbent on me to keep an eye on the Holy relics and their bearer at all possible times.
So that all men can know beauty.
So that all men can know contentment and peace in their hearts.
So that all men can be free.

Do I have to alert the mods?
That was NOT a Fallout 4 soliloquy!
