The Official Fallout 4 Thread
11/28./2015 | By Laz A. Mataz

Posted on 11/28/2015 7:53:03 PM PST by Lazamataz

Had to do it. Had to create the thread. The game is too damned good. This thread is reserved for hardcore gamers who play Fallout 4. Norm, KC, TADSLOS and I have hijacked so many threads discussing this game, I felt we needed our own thread.

Fallout 4 is amazing. The content is excessively large. There is so much to explore, you could replay this game 10 times and not find every mission or quest. The characters are so much better fleshed out than any other game I have played. Even the radio announcer of Diamond City Radio will have you doubling over in laughter, he's so inept at radio announcing. :) Your companions will pitch in with consistently new, sometimes insightful, and almost always area- or mission appropriate comments. I even got Piper (the hot Reporter chick) to sleep with me. It took a lot of sweet talking. But now she's in love. "Piper, how do you feel about our relationship?" Her answer: "Blue, this is as close to nirvana as I will ever find. Who knew a jaded reporter like me would find love in a wasteland?"

Fallout 4 is so graphics-intensive that I had to upgrade my video card to the GTX970 from Nividia, and I am so glad I did. 4 gigs of video memory, and a solid GPU array. Now I get 60 FPS (at the best) down to about 30 FOS (at the worst) with occasional dips to an unacceptable 24 FPS when in extremely busy, high clutter city areas with lots of combatants.

Our first topic: I want to mod the songs. I want change the Classical Radio Station to play songs I like.

I have six titles so far, that would fit in this game:

Filter's "Hey Man, Nice Shot" to be triggered during combat

Drowning Pool's "Let The Bodies Hit The Floor", also triggered during combat.

Lil Jon's "Turn Down For What"

Disturbed's "Down With The Sickness"

Metallica's "Enter Sandman"

NIN's "Every Day Is Exactly The Same"

Any other suggestions?

Oh, and they do adjust difficulty to level. I’m assuming you cleared Poseiden Reservior at that level 10. What I encountered at level 22 could NEVER have been handled by a level 10.

With what? A dinner fork Scavver? While you are scrounging around for glowing fungus to eat, My Brothers and I will be looking down on you from on high in the Pridewyn.

Because we can.

Which reservoir? the one with Stupormutant camp outside and Mirelurks once in the bulding where you gotta hunt manual switches?. that wasn’t massively bad.

I just bought the T60 on the Pridewyn after I joined up. Because we are awesome like that.

I found 3 or 4 pieces of X1 a while ago but havent used it yet.

Fred was known in the wasteland as “Scribe Fred”. Scribe Fred collected the technology of music.

When he wasn’t shaking his metal tush on the Pridewyn’s many catwalks ;)

It seems my time has come. I, Kinght Volarian Lionheart, Hero of the Commonwealth, bringer of light to the darkness, sight to the sightless and up until this game started, boobs to the boobless, have decided there is a time to pitter patter around in the wastes and a time to at long last enter the fell hive of scum and villany and find, at long last...

...A working sexbot/synth not named FISTO. Because Piper is too annoying, wastelanders are filled with radiation and disease and I don’t want Laz’s seconds anyway.

It seems there was some other reason I was supposed to go there but my doctor said this was right for me.

Cover me. I’m going in dry (because, you know, I took the bridge rather than swim through the ....oh nevermind.)

Indeed I shall! I will finially answer the questions that have dogged me for 50 levels. Like “Why EXACTLY were all the people in 111 killed by the institure except me and they young Knight ionheart. And who is the synth I am supposed to give my life for? Me? The young Lionheart, The wife? Is everyone BUT me and the kid a synth in the Commonwealth?

And how can I order pizza on a Pip Boy?

I expect M. Night Shamalyan type twists to follow.

I’m getting the teleporter in place now. I actually and no joke, have a sense of antici.........PPPPation (apologies to Tim Curry) about this. It’s some good storytelling/writing the boys and girls at Bethesda came up with for a game to pull that reaction out of me.

I think you are missing the ghouls like the bartender in Megaton or the ones in the ghoul city in Fallout 3. ...and yes, they could be whiny.

They just weren’t memorable enough.

Thing about Megaton was that it instantly made it everyone’s long term goal (get enough science skill to detonate the nuke). Who wouldn’t?

Final Fantasy 7 is certainly “the best Final Fantasy,” and “one of the best games of all time.”

People say it’s the best game of all time but it’s certainly one of the most influential. It really gave Square dominance and helped build a bigger JRPG market for the US. Also one of the biggest Sony releases of all time. Without it Playstation may not exist today.

Blood Dragon was amazing! I’m riding on a dragon that shoots @*^$&^ lazers out his eyes!!!!! Classic.

3 playthroughs and I never exploded the bomb, if fact only once did I go to Tenpenny Tower, not for any good reason except that Megaton was convienent to keep around.

Well, maybe I had a crush on Moira.
