The Washington Post has a fascinating article up about the Republican Party's establishment plans to take down Donald Trump. In short?
There is no plan.
Well, perhaps that's not entirely fair. Plan A is to wait for the Trump campaign to implode. This view is put into words by Frank VanderSloot, chief executive of a large nutritional-supplement company and a backer of Senator Marco Rubio:
"Itâs just going to take a little time for people to take a step back and look at his track record, see who he is and how heâs changed his positions and how unprepared he is to be president of the United States." The alternative to this plan - Plan B is... well, nothing. Sure, the WaPo says, there are some SuperPAC's who have decided to go to war against Trump, but most Republican insiders believe such attempts are all doomed to fail.
One party strategist privy to recent research on Trump voters said that none of the messages tested swayed them â including his past support for universal health care or fond words about Bill and Hillary Clinton.
âTheyâre inÂcredÂibly angry, and heâs the first guy in their mind who speaks to that anger in a visceral way,â said the strategist, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the findings. âThey have a deep longing for that.â

Thank God America is awakening.
I guess coming up with a more attractive alternative is out of the question.
The citizens have been trying to stop the illegal alien inundation.
Both parties have actively thwarted any attempts by the citizens to stop The Cheap Labor Express.
Enter Trump.
It’s no mystery.
If there is a Plan B they are going to keep it to themselves. And I can guess what it is.
The GOP runs on a number of massive supporters. The supporters have not supported aggressive attacks on Donald, for two reasons:
First off, remember when Donald agreed to play fair, early in the game? That was also binding on the GOP itself. So they’re at least reluctant to really step up to attacking Trump, which is what would be needed.
Second off, and perhaps just as strong a motivation is that Trump is perfectly willing to hit back harder than they attack. Against anyone. And Trump has even more supporters than Sarah Palin has.
Trump is in a very strong position. Very strong.
Quotes from the GOPe and their enablers:
Trump will implode and be long gone by July 1
Trump will implode and be long gone by August 1
Trump will implode and be long gone by September 1
Trump will implode and be long gone by September 15
Trump will implode and be long gone by October 1

Trump will implode and be long gone by November 1
Trump will implode and be long gone by November 8

I totally agree, Rubio's not ready. ..but why would Rubio's guy criticize his own candidate like that? Strange. . .oh. . wait. . he's talking about Trump?. . wwwwwwhhhhhhaaaaaaatttttt? Trump? . .he's talking about Trump?
Plan B is Jeb, Marco or Christie.
How pathetic.
“Plan B is Jeb, Marco or Christie.”
Don’t forget Mr. Kasich.
The title should read ,,,, “ The GOP Establishments Plan to Get Hillary Elected “ .
How is Trump’s 2 positions on healthcare any different than GOPe? THey spoke against it but have done nothing to defeat it and tell us to accept it. That sounds to me as though they support it.
The GOP couldn’t even take down a quota boy with a fake background, no intelligence, and no discernable talent, running for a party only slightly to the right of Lenin.
The GOP is dead.
Good old boy club smells club house burning.
Yep, like I say, read my tag line.
At this point, as long as Trump doesn’t call for the extermination of Jews and doesn’t waver in securing the border (and sending home the illegals), HE WINS EVERYTHING.
There really isn’t a damn thing else that can hurt him.
“How is Trumpâs 2 positions on healthcare any different than GOPe?”
Tag line.
The media won’t be able to take down Trump. It’s looking like the Republican party will (at some point)step in and try to stop the nomination...it’s going to get crazier as we go along.
But Trump is a winner & he’ll need a lot of intestinal fortitude, as he’ll be in for the fight of his life.
,,,,, have you ever actually heard any of the potential candidates endorse Commiecare ??? I know Cruz has spoken out in favor of it’s repeal along with Commoncore and many other programs forced on the tax payers . Until we have a veto proof senate repeal will not happen ,,, still there are too many dems in the senate . Trump has said he will continuously out the liberals who vote against the will of the people by posting their names on how they vote on legislative bills . Then people can see better who they have to replace . Will that actually work ? ,,, I don’t know .
