Not my cup of tea but if it suits, go for it.

I did a quick search and it's probably as good a bet as most out there and I have some acquaintances that have or had electric hybrids - rode in a couple and have no complaints for the niche they serve. Hope it works out well.

The wife loves it.

No oil changes, no gas stations, the only drawback is with such a short commute it takes 15 minutes to get heat, luckily it has a remote that allows you to start the heater or air conditioning prior to starting your journey.

If it's plugged in it uses none of the battery juice so the range is not diminished.
