I was referring to the fact that Obama will not say radical Islamic terrorism. In fact, he won’t mention Islam.
Thanks. Understood and appreciated
When Obama speaks, I turn my back to him.
I hope someone points it out in a question, but I doubt it. Hollande understands that he puts himself in domestic political jeopardy if he tries Obamaspeak when trying to describe the enemy. Hollande has already identified the enemy as radical Islam many times, especially after the Charlie Hebdo and Paris attacks.
“Francois?”.....I don’t hear “Francois” calling him Barack....
Obama keeps talking about “stopping the war”. He’s talking about settling the SUNNI vs SHIA conflict that has been going on since 650 AD. He is not no way going to settle that. He hopes to setup SUNNI leadership in the remaining places where it isn’t in place. Iran will be last and the most difficult.
arrgh!
He is a man of vision ....poor vision
Iran and Bahrain are almost all shi’a. The Sunnis are not going to be in charge there. And Iraq is predominantly shi’a. 10% of Saudi Arabia is shi’a.
Yep.... ISIS is the muscle for the Saudis.
Not really. The Saudis are not fans of ISIS. They want to take Assad out, but they also realize that ISIS presents a real threat to the Royal Family, just like AQ is.
AQ represents a threat because they predominately Shia. Saudis operate under sharia law. They’re sunni... they’re safe at least for the time being from ISIS. ISIS is about killing everything not SUNNI... shia, kurds, Christians, and non-sectarian other groups.
Saudis operate under sharia law.
So does Iran. Most Muslim-majority countries incorporate sharia at some level in their legal framework, with many calling it the highest law or the source of law of the land in their constitution. Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Brunei, Qatar, Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Sudan and Mauritania apply the code predominantly or entirely.
SIS is about killing everything not SUNNI... shia, kurds, Christians, and non-sectarian other groups.
No, they are not about killing shi'a. They would have to kill the majority of Iraq if that were the case. They occupy Mosul, the second largest city in Iraq. Shi'a make up about 15% of Muslims worldwide.
Radical Islamists are bitter clingers to their Korans and AK-47's.
We agree at some level. Daish and ISIS... they are sunni. Many are those who were with Saddam before his death. They were part of Saddam’s ongoing conflicts against the kurds and shia. GWB installed a Shia government. There is a difference of opinion whether Iraq is more SHIA or SUNNI. Different sources claim different percentages. But yeah.. Iraq is up for grabs. Iran is not up for grabs by Sunni.
Syria is up for grabs and run by Assad who is essentially non-sectarian. Both sides don’t like Assad.

I have no idea what sides you are referring to.
Syria: Muslim 87% (official; includes Sunni 74% and Alawi, Ismaili, and Shia 13%), Christian (includes Orthodox, Uniate, and Nestorian) 10% (includes Orthodox, Uniate, and Nestorian), Druze 3%, Jewish (few remaining in Damascus and Aleppo).
Shi'a Iran supports Assad. Why? It has to do with an agenda other than religion. Russia is supporting Assad for similar reasons.
What is an Obama and why did I step in it?
Hey VJ, no one ever told you to clean up after their pets?
