If you found it then it wasn’t scrubbed, was it? I have despised the NYT’s for over 40 years but its hard to see how you could be right on this.
It can sometimes be hard to find older information through the usual search engines, or impossible even. Doesn’t always mean scrubbed. Freeper just made a wrong call, no biggie.
