Open them in the South. We need an alternative to the Marxist-owned Starsucks brand.

Or maybe it had something to do with certain states/cities raising their minimum wage so high as to make these locations unprofitable?

Seems to me that they’d be wiser to open stores in Florida. We go there most Januarys and half the plates you see there are from Ontario and Quebec.

Closing ahead of new minimum wage rules and increased Obamacare costs.

What's the matter with Krispy Kreme?

There’s a lot of restaurant chains taking a beating these days...even in the South. For example, Del Taco will be closing all of its Texas locations as of December 14th.
Wouldn’t surprise me to see McDonalds, Burger King, and Wendys start doing that as well in the next year or two. Franchisees are hurting.

Other than being the only place south of Ontario where a person can get a dish of poutine, why would someone patronize Tim Hortons vs. any other place? I mean, has anyone ever said "You know, I feel like going out for Canadian".

I LIKE their funky food and make it a point of eating there whenever business takes me to the Buffalo, NY area. I was hoping they would make it down to the Pittsburgh area soon.

Krispy Kreme opened in Fargo a few years ago, to enormous hoopla, and didn’t last a year. Everyone loves donuts—but Americans are definitely limiting their intake.

“Employees were further infuriated because they reported that many of the closed locations performed well and met sales targets. Despite this, they say that the company decided to close all locations in the area.”
The employees only see part of the data. Typically, not the expense or distribution or legal sides.
Understandably upset before the holiday.

Tim’s has much better coffee and better doughnuts. Not the best, but better than Krispy Kreme.

You can get a poutine at the Culver's chain (upper midwest), just ask for cheese curds and fries with a side of gravy.
Dunkin Donuts mostly went to frozen donuts as they decided to concentrate on coffee. Some people really like Timmy's coffee.

[Timâs has much better coffee]
Really??? I tried a box of TH k-cups for the Keurig and wasn’t impressed. IMO, McDonald’s McCafe coffee (both Keurig and grind) tasted so much better.

A hot Krispy Kreme clazed blows away any Tim Horton's Doughnut. For coffee, Caribou coff and ma and pa stores are good alternatives to Starbucks. Dunkin Donuts' coffee, in my view is comparable to Timmy's.

The assault from the Canuckle-head invasion has been repelled!! However, this is no time to melt your snowball armories. They still have a strong hold on Florida!
