Hundreds gathered outside a north Minneapolis police precinct to remember a black man who was fatally shot by an officer.
A candlelight vigil and march organized by the NAACP started at 4:30 p.m. outside the 4th Precinct. Stephen Green, national director of the NAACP's youth and college division, said the weather may be cold, but people's hearts are burning for justice for 24-year-old Jamar Clark.
The group started marching peacefully at 6 p.m. heading east down Plymouth Ave N. toward the area where Clark was shot by police. They stopped at the site to pray and sing the protest song "We Shall Overcome" before marching back to the 4th Precinct.

What NONE in the local media will report is...
"Police recovered these items near the 4th Precinct tonight. Bottles are filled with gasoline for 'Molotov Cocktails"

It’s unfortunate that our side isn’t counterprotesting.
Never let the scum go unanswered.
Today, all over America, thousands of blacks were arrested and didn’t die. The one other thing they had in common was that they didn’t resist arrest.
"DEEZ PO-LEECE OURA KILLIN' OURA BABIES!"
Let them freeze their butts off.
They should be here weeping over poor Jamar, another criminal who died criming.
On some of those threads I remember being almost the only voice of reality.
Will do.
Stayed away from that and similar stories just because they weren’t local and didn’t want to get wound up in stuff I wasn’t familiar with.
Accessorize. And protesting is much more fun with the like minded.
According to reports, this guy not only has a record and went to prison, but he was beating up a woman, interfered with her treatment from the paramedics, and when the police arrived, got into a fight with an officer where he seized his gun.
If this is true, he got justice already. So go home.
Pretty much 100%.
Reports I have read said he was attempting to grab the officer’s gun.
Either way...
“Would you step foot in that neighborhood???”
I don’t go anywhere near Minneapolis.
I just got information from two Minneapolis cops that the news isn’t reporting. The mayor of Minneapolis is apparently married to a former Black Pampers felon and has put extreme limitations on the police as far as handling disputes with Blacks. Apparently even telling them not to defend themselves if physically assaulted. The 4th precinct building has been abandoned to allow the rioters the ability to continue to riot. Police now have body guards to defend them from rioters. These cops say it’s a very bad situation where lawlessness is being promoted by the mayor and aided by the local liberal press. Expect Minneapolis to be the next city to disintigrate like Ferguson or Baltimore.
Led by Keith (pbuh) Ellison.
We are separated from Minneapolis and the inner city by the river and a really long, defendable bridge.
We like our odds.
