The Tokarov is a nice gun, Romanian is as good as any commercial production model.

The 7.62x 25 bottle-neck cartridge packs a punch. You can buy it in large quantities, but a lot of that on the market is corrosive mil-surp, so remember to give the gun a good cleaning if you use that stuff.

Just looked at the JHP I bought today. It’s Serbian. I also own a mosin, so I know all about corrosive milsurp. I’m a law enforcement armorer so my stuff gets cleaned to my own professional standards. My trainers taught me to do it right, or not at all.

On the occasions I fired my old .30 Broomhandle Mauser, it was energetic enough to suggest being a reasonable imitation of a semi-auto .357 magnum.
