I remember a song called “The Green Berets”.
Legend had it that Uncle Sam owned ‘The Green Berets’ and ‘Shane’.
You could be on stand down at some long lost LZ and they had one or both?
I still like ‘Shane’.

Sgt Sadler wrote and recorded two or three albums with military songs during that time period. I think he committed suicide, iirc.
