When I see these, all I can think about is weakness and the suicide of the west. Today some EU pooh-bah said Europe won't end its open-borders policy. Last night at the Stanford - Oregon football game, the announcer told us to pause for a few moments of silence for the "tragedy in Paris." I was near screaming "It wasn't a TRAGEDY! This is WAR!"
Will the world EVER wake up to this existential threat?
Where did this fetish with lighting candles and bowing heads come from?
IMHO, it comes from the Catholic Church. They light candles and pray for the dead.
I share your sentiments.
Craziest thing is the most secular of them are the ones most involved in this candle light vigil, teddy bear leaving nonsense.
Say a quick prayer, have another child with your wife to reverse your demographic decline, start training with a firearm to get ready for the continued Muslim onslaught, and start pushing your Leftist overlords to close the border and remove all Muslims from the continent.
Good explanation. Kind of ironic considering how Europe has abandoned religion and is inviting the forced conversion to Islam, isn’t it?
These things are starting to seem so phony. Building phony memorials and standing around with birthday candles taking selfies. It’s time to get over this crap and start kicking some ass.
Instead of arming themselves and preparing for the next attack (it WILL happen), they are lighting candles.
It is hard to feel sorry for people who refuse to prepare and instead act only in symbolic ways.
The same thing was done for 9/11.
I don’t have a problem with it as long as the men are arming up and preparing.
So sick of candlelight vigils and memorials following terrorist attacks. Faddish, meaningless symbolism. What it really symbolizes is weakness.
I still get a little sick when I remember the memorial they had outside Buckingham Palace for that parasite, Princess Di.
It looked like a landfill.
That’s an excellent, succinct statement of how to survive inside Europe and the U.S. It’s a good start, but probably not sufficient. We need to push Islam back to the ME and contain it there...or wipe it out entirely while we have a chance of doing so. Once the Islamists are nuclear, the west will be doomed.
And the liberal headed ninnies are still asking how we can deny the poor immigrants entry. The Terrorist in Chief just dumped 10,000 invaders on us and more are coming in every hour on the hour all across the country with no slowing down. If our leaders and politicians can’t stand up for the American citizen, they need to be tarred and feathered. When confronted by wide eyed libs and talking heads, they should immediately state they were elected by US citizens, not foreigners, and will do their duty to America and only America. Close the borders, stop immigration, deport illegals and those who have “over stayed” their visas. Otherwise, our leaders and politicians are working for terrorists. If you aren’t with America, you’re against America.
Most of Europe is non religious. Without the Catholic Church the Muslims would have controlled all of Europe centuries ago.
If only we had the likes of the Pope Urban II again instead of this idiot Jesuit.
I find it amusing that some of the people lighting the candles are wearing muslim head scarfs.
This spontaneous sidewalk memorial phenomenon has no relation to Christianity for, IMHO, most who participate.
It’s like participating in a rock concert for them. Light a candle...take a selfie.
I agree with you Jim.
Thank you, Jim
Well at least they added a cross at the bottom of the Eiffel Tower symbol but I really don’t know if that has any real meaning to most of those in mourning. You did not post a picture of the pianist playing “Imagine” outside the Bataclan theatre. Absolute nonsense there. The spirit of that ugly song is a big reason Europe is dying before our eyes.
“I find it amusing that some of the people lighting the candles are wearing muslim head scarfs.”
Good you notice that so have I.
SCUM...they have NO shame.
Is there a word for “shame” in Middle Eastern languages?
