It was definitely a great night here! It’s awesome when one fight can turn a meh-PPV (RouseyWinsByArmbarLOL!) into a historic event.
Yeah, Dana is/was in denial about the greatest of forever and ever getting totally derailed in about six minutes of fighting.
Yes, I told my wife before the match started if Holly could keep it standing than it could be an interesting night. Holly started out boxing well. When the fight went to the ground I was thinking, “dang this was fun while it lasted”. Then Holly got out of that armbar attempt and I thinking it’s really on now. Then Ronda tried to take her down again and Holly ended up in top position. I knew it was Holly’s night if she kept her composure, which she did.
She’s definitely gone “Hollywood”. Hanging out constantly on all of the talk-shows, yes-men, movie sets, etc., with everyone tells you are a once in humanity freak of nature and unstoppable, you start buying into it.
I know Ronda’s mom has been telling her to dump this camp for quite awhile. I imagine this change will be coming soon, unless she is the type of person who doubles-down because she is bull-headed.
A lot of people had Weidman (not me either). They were figuring Silva’s age and his constant clowning around would catch up with him if someone could clock him good.
