I think that Ilmor Engineering is helping Red Bull to use a highly modified Renault engine block next year. Red Bull has worked on software, hybrid and cylinder areas to solve problems and improve the Renault engine that they have been using. Now with all this expertise, Red Bull may just need the basic engine block to package a complete F1 power unit next year.

Since Ilmor Engineering builds a 2.2 liter for IndyCar there maybe a modified motor to address the F1 engine tender.

Lastly we discover that the Honda F1 engine never needs to have an oil change.......................................... their engines have never gone that far! Now if Honda can just convince Charlie Whiting that to service their engine you remove the oil filler cap and install another engine!
