A beloved University of Missouri professor resigned after he refused to cancel a school exam during the hunger strike and athleteâs boycott. Campus Reform reported:
"Dr. Dale Brigham, considered one of the most beloved professors at the University of Missouri, has resigned after refusing to cancel an exam for students who claimed to feel âunsafe.â
âIf you donât feel safe coming to class, then donât come to class,â Dr. Brigham told his students. âI will be there, and there will be an exam administered in our class,â he continued, imploring his students to stand up to the bullies on campus. âIf you give into bullies, they win. The only way bullies are defeated is by standing up to them.â

I used to believe that. Now, I believe the paycheck, health care and pensions will be used as threat to keep the cops in line and follow orders from the govt.
Let’s hope not. Stay frosty.
Recent experience is that cops value their own lives, their familys’ lives and salaries, and will back off, establish a perimeter and let things within that perimeter work their own way out. I.E. give folks space to destroy.
Look at the depolicing in Baltimore and other big cities. Look at the cops who walked off their jobs following Katrina.

That threat didn’t work too well in the LA riots. The cops hopped into their squads and drove home to protect their families.

Right, that was thirty years ago. Lots has changed.
Unfortunately, the liberal left professors and administrators are beginning to feel the effects of the revolution they called for by reducing teaching to radical leftist cant.
While it might be satisfying to laugh and say “ For they sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind. The standing grain has no heads; it shall yield no flour; if it were to yield, strangers would devour it.” , the result is going to be a long period of “the closing of the American mind.’
