Melissa Click, an assistant professor at the University of Missouri who was captured on video Monday aggressively confronting a journalism student covering a campus protest, has apologized for her actions and resigned her courtesy appointment with the Missouri School of Journalism.
"Yesterday was an historic day at MU - full of emotion and confusion," Click said in a statement released Tuesday by the university's Department of Communication. "I have reviewed and reflected upon the video of me that is circulating, and have written this statement to offer both apology and context for my actions. I have reached out to the journalists involved to offer my sincere apologies and to express regret over my actions.
"I regret the language and strategies I used, and sincerely apologize to the MU campus community, and journalists at large, for my behavior, and also for the way my actions have shifted attention away from the students' campaign for justice."
"Who wants to help me get this reporter out of here?" Click can be heard asking in a video of Monday's confrontation with a student journalist, Mark Schierbecker. "I need some muscle over here."

The little fascist still has her regular job at Mizzou. She should resign that as well.
If you see the video, there’s nothing confusing at all about this air head running around trying to incite violence.
What was her other job?
I saw the video! As Rush would say “young skulls full of mush” and their liberal professor leading them on. Just when you think they can’t get more stupid.
Hmm.
All I know is, I used to ignore MU football. Now I will actively hope they lose every game always no matter who they play. That goes for every other type of game they play or activity they participate in. I want them to fail. I want them to lose. I would do nothing actively against them. I just will hope in my heart they lose everything they touch.
If I had a student at Missouri they would be out of there so quickly their heads would spin.
What an awful place——letting students run the school.
.
You know, Rush needs to update that line! It’s no longer “young skulls full of mush”. That mush is now just an infected running ooze with no hope of a cure.
No worries Melissa will soon be working at MSDNC along with Melissa Harris Perry, ya know, the looney who walks around with tampons on her ears and thinks “Hard Work” is racist
Maybe this is unrelated, but I wonder what these kids do for summer jobs? I moved furniture, landscaped, and did other manual labour jobs (alongside other blue collar workers) and I confess was an influence in me ultimately becoming a conservative.
Get a good employment lawyer lol...this ain't over.
I prefer the corruption
of snowflakes to sootflakes.
Her real job is as a journalism prof at the same school ($57,000/year). The thing she resigned from is an honorific position (no loss to her, pretty much symbolic).
Many of those were women, I can’t see them moving furniture, sorry to sound sexist. However I do see your point. I don’t even see them selling jeans in the mall or hamburgers at McDonalds.
The mask is slipping more and more these days.
The snake is long enough now
to start swallowing its own tail.
She still has a job, there. She committed BATTERY and attempted to incite a RIOT.
They're close to doing exactly that with their 1-5 SEC record and their 4-5 overall record. They might not win another game this year.
And if I'm C.J. Mosley, I'm beating on the doors of the SEC league offices to have Michael Sam's name removed as the 2013 Co-Defensive Player of the Year.
“”I have reviewed and reflected upon the video of me that is circulating””
She didn’t like what she saw of herself? Well, neither did we, sweetie! Neither did we. No one looks forward to seeing/hearing a screaming female banshee....
Have to give her credit for one thing and that’s for not saying, “I’m sorry if I offended anyone...........” Sounded like a sincere apology and I hate myself for even saying that.
