This thing can fly for ten minutes instead of 45 seconds! It uses real jet engines.
Ten minutes of flight time makes it as useless as every other jet pack.
Give me no less than an hour so I can get somewhere and I’ll be interested.
They’re waiting for dilithium crystals to be developed.
Tim Wilson wrote a song about them:

I wanna see the landing, first.
The others based on the original Bell design gave 20 sec of flight.
Awesome.
Hard points for ordinance?
The Givernment will subsidize this business, so they can operate on battery power...
From their website.
“Weâve been test flying JB-9 for several years with awesome results. It is inherently stable but also capable of very dynamic maneuvers thanks to our approach to engine vectoring. Early testing of our next version, JB-10, indicates that it will achieve flights of over 10,000 feet altitude (not that many pilots will be needing to fly that high!), at speeds greater than 100 mph and with an endurance of 10 minutes + (depending on pilot weight).
All with a device you can put in the back seat of a car!”
Daddy wanted one like this, or at least see one like this, but he died before it happened.
I am mindful of daddy when I watch this. Thanks for helping me to remember.

Here is a trip around the Statue of Liberty...

Looks like fun.
How does auto-gyro work? What kind of engine(s)?
From what I have read, they are working on a air bypass design, which should improve the efficiency quite a lot.
You do know that the hydrogen peroxide jet-packs (James Bond style) fly for something like 45 seconds? They also use an extremely dangerous fuel. Just spill it on the ground and it bursts into flames.
Give me no less than an hour so I can get somewhere and Iâll be interested.
They might get there eventually. How long was the first flight at Kitty Hawk?
It's on the youtube video link provided. They also have a youtube video of them flying around the Statue of Liberty. It has a very gentle landing in it.
Disagree.
For certain applications, including having “fun”, 10 mins is a significant amount of time. It is also orders of magnitude better than anything before it. A light person could also carry more fuel, so it isn’t a fixed 10 mins.
I could see this being useful in rescue/emergency situations where you need to quickly get to a difficult spot. Somebody might be able to help in a situation where a helicopter isn’t an option. These could be made inexpensively in bulk.
There’s probably other applications too, doesn’t have to be for a typical users commute.
Pretty funny. :)
