As Bernie Sanders prepares to enter the primary-season Octagon against arch-rival Hillary Clinton, he can take some comfort in the fact that the world's most popular MMA fighter, Ronda Rousey, has come out swinging in his corner.
In a recent interview with Maxim, the undefeated UFC champion, who defends her bantamweight belt against Holly Holm on Saturday, pledged her support to the progressive Vermont Senator, who is the only "democratic socialist" in Congress. And she's hoping her political muscle serves as an electoral armbar that will send him all the way to the White House.
"I'm voting for Bernie Sanders, because he doesn't take any corporate money," Rousey told Maxim. "I don't think politicians should be allowed to take money for their campaigns from outside interests."

Since she is all about stopping income inequality, I assume she will be Sharing her next fight purse with her opponent if she wins. And give them joint custody of the belt...
The only place I’ve ever seen Ultimate Fighting, MMA, etc. on TV was at the HOOTERS in Irving, TX (2007). If it was on for the female employees to enjoy while they worked then okay, but I couldn’t see what the big deal was.
The dikes next door to me just put a Sanders bumper sticker on their car.

Same here- she’s very close to being a disgrace to MMA the way she acts- She may be a good fighter, but she’s certainly not a very good person
It is obvious that Rousey is mindless, for when has socialism ever been the cure for any disease? However, isn’t the MMA doing a great job of disgracing itself? Allowing a male (Fallon Fox) to break the jaws and skulls of women in the ring?
Nobody will care what she thinks after Holly Holm kicks her butt Saturday.

I didn’t even look at who rousey endorses as I simply don’t care about Rousey other than to point out what a disgrace she is. Hopefully for her sake it’s just scripted bad manners to boost ratings- but I think the anger and nasty remarks from her come far too naturally to her for it to be scripted

Yeah- they followed her and her opponent around before a fight- and the difference between the two were striking- I kept thinking “Why is sho proud of such a rotton attitude and foul mouth”? and wondered why the UFC would be showing her I n this light- it was pretty bad- then when she won against the other girl, the girl got up first, and tried to help her up and she was very ungracious even in victory- I wasn’t impressed with her attitude at all

I did not know that either- Like you said- I’ve always wondered how these fighters feel about not knowing if their opponent has aids or not (not just because they might be gay, but might be promiscuous as well- many young rich kids tend to go wild when they get rich quick)
It’s sad that the UFC is promoting gay fighters like this- Perhaps that’s why a lot of fighters are leaving the UFC and going to divisions like bellator, or others-

I sure miss the Pride days (unfortunate name for a fighting division I know,- but they were the elite, best of the best- and had some real wars- in the early days they were practically ‘no holds barred’ - although I didn’t agree with that it was still a tough man’s competition- and they weren’t worried about all this PC crap- Sad that the UFC is moving towards PC crap- it will ruin ultimate fighting for me- and lots of others I suspect
