Indeed, criminals dying in the commission of their crimes (at the hands of their intended victims) isn’t a bad thing.

That goes for rioters and looters especially.

Oddly, some of the same people I’ve encountered who maintain that you should not be able to kill a criminal in the commission of a crime over mere property will, when pressed on abortion, finally fall back on her body:her property.

I look at it this way; when someone steals your property they are stealing that part of your life that you spent acquiring that property and they are stealing that part of your life that you will spend replacing that property (if it is replicable)

So in a sense that thief was taking the man’s life and the good pastor was defending his own life.
