“Whoâs your candidate? Trump, right? You sound like a Trump fanboi.”
Who’s your candidate? Cruz, right? You sound like a Cruz fanboi.
Inevitability? At this point I doubt it.. but competitive? Absolutely.
Not a single candidate is without his/her warts, but none match Cruz in terms of conservatism.
A co-worker of mine met Cruz and said he found him to be very likeable and beyond smart. And what politician doesn’t at one point or another sound like a “preacher?”
True. I don’t think Any candidate is inevitable. These guys just have to engage in hyperbole.
Actually, the visas are temporary. What Trump is proposing is permanent residency.
Actually, I think what is coming is a Trump/Cruz ticket. But don’t let my thoughts get in the way of what you think I think.
“But donât let my thoughts get in the way of what you think I think.”
‘what you think I think”?
When you use the term “fanboi” that is a snarky put-down and shows you to be a Cruz-boi.
Everyone is entitled to a preference; it is only Cruz fans who want to get snotty if they think someone likes Trump.
You are quoting someone else. I never used the word fanboi.
250,000 foreign students graduate every year.
So after four years for example, Trump's permanent residency will increase by 1 million, new foreign job seekers.
I'll pass this on to Hugin. I'm sure he/se will be concerned.
Okay, I am too tired to trace that one down; I tried a bit.
It is post #7 that set you off. Wasn’t me.
This, in a nutshell, is exactly why Ted Cruz is the only conservative choice.
Well said!
I am opposed to the VAT because it IS hidden, and it purportedly is paid by “business.” Any politician who claims he can tax “business” or “the rich” is a liar.
As Calvin Coolidge (the only U.S. President in the 20th Century except Reagan to understand economics), said: No matter who you try to tax, ultimately, it is “THE PEOPLE WHO TOIL” who pay all the taxes. What he meant was that if you attempt to tax “business,” they must change DECISIONS they make, but they collect the taxes from someone else. The same thing happens if you attempt to tax “the rich.” They alter their investment DECISIONS, etc. But ultimately, there are people who cannot collect the taxes from anyone else by altering DECISIONS, but must simply toil for them.
The people who toil pay all the taxes, no matter how much politicians claim to be taxing someone else. (”Business” and the “the rich.”) As Coolidge knew, and said, the ONLY way to relieve the people who TOIL, is to reduce government SPENDING.
I don’t concede that Cruz’s tax plan is accurately defined as a VAT tax. Corporate taxes are hidden taxes and they are much higher than the Cruz plan’s 16% business tax.
Perhaps - but March will be the first real indication of where the candidates are.
Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
I prefer Cruz and my money goes to his campaign, hence the Cruz link. If you like someone else, donate to him/her (find your own link to do it) and if you use FR and don't donate, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches or those who have Obama Phones because, functionally, you are no different than any other FReeloader
PS - If you are one of those who cannot afford even a small donation to FR or a candidate, God Bless and happy FReeping!.....
GO CRUZ!! Keep it up Trump!!
