You are not “forced” to do anything. Why you guys keep repeating this nonsense is lost on people with the ability to read.

Go buy a copy of those OSs off of Ebay or Amazon and spend the next 45 years with them if you want. You will not get support and updates forever because it costs lots of money to patch old software for people that think that computing tech stops the moment they like it enough and that it should never move past that.

Microsoft is a company, not a charity to continue to sell and support old OSs forever. No more than Apple or even Linux. And believe me neither of them are supporting versions of those OSs from 2001.

Windows 7 is supported thru January 13, 2020.

That means 2020 will finally be the year Linux takes over the desktop market. Maybe.
