President Obama joins Facebook, addresses climate change in first post
(CNN)President Barack Obama joined Facebook on Monday and said he wanted his account to be "a place where we can have real conversations," diving right in with his first post on climate change.
In that post, Obama took Facebook users on a walk through his back yard at the White House and calling on Americans in a video "to preserve this beautiful planet of ours."
"Not only do I want future presidents to be able to take walks like this," Obama said in a video post on his profile. "I want to make sure that the American people are able to enjoy the incredible national parks, incredible beauty, the mountains, the oceans, that have been one of the greatest gifts we've ever received."

What I don’t understand is the whole logic of the global warming concept. Their argument is that the average temperature on a specific date has raised one degree in the past 10 or 20 years or whatever time they use, and I’m thinking so what? What does that even do? What life form exists on this planet than cannot take a one degree rise in temperature? Here on the east coast where I live the temperature can go as high as 110 and as low as - 20 , yet every spring all the flowers and tree bloom and all the animals are still around. Yet one degree will kill them ? What? It’s insane.
The feckless fool on the hill continues to make his case for being the absolute one and only feckless fool on the hill. It can only go “down the hill” for this feckless buffoon on a hill.
