I have selective memory, but now I do remember those incidents.
I also recall that Landry dealt with them—but don’t remember exactly how he did it.

Me, too, basil. The thing we tend to gloss over is that, when Landry was fired, the Cowboys had been in a slump for some time. As I recall, they crashed when he abandoned the multiple offense/flex defense. Maybe the NFL had figured out his scheme, I don’t know. But the disgust fans displayed at what the Cowboys had become seemed to take the heart out of Landry. The club I dote on is Jimmy Johnson and the triplets.
I remember during the nineties, a commentator said there were three levels in the NFL. At the top were the Cowboys, below them were the 49ers, and below them was everybody else. Those were the days.
