Yes. I was five years old, along with my twin brother were taken to a long ago bulldozed movie theater by my Dad. Good memories. Now both have passed away, but now I have a five year old that I get to take to the movie this Christmas. I hope it is as magical and wonderful to my son as it was to me.

I saw the first one in a small storefront plaza theater on the outskirts of Akron, Ohio the day it was released with maybe eight people in the theater. I’d seen the review in Time Magazine. Drove past the same plaza a couple days later and the line for the theater stretched around the block. Back then, before the internet, word of mouth was literally word of mouth and the hype machine was steam powered.
