Romney would not have made the decisions Obama has. If you can’t see that then you are truly bereft of any kind of judgment. I didn’t want Romney but any fool had 4 years to see what Obama was.

So if you are crossing the street and you suddenly see a semi coming, do not change course. Determinedly go forward because you cannot change course even to save your life.

Thanks from your country for your stubborn traitorous acts.

CalRepublican:

Thanks from MY country (that would be the traditional country known as the USA) and what was once my party (the GOP which has degenerated now into nothing but the political arm of the US Chamber of Cronyism and social revolution: See Romney, Mitt, Ryano, Paul, etc.) to you for being the stubborn airhead that you are and supporting the further destruction of the USA by people like Romney who impersonate Republicans on the ballot and have the nerve to call himself a "severe conservative" whatever that may mean coming out of his ever lying mouth. That is YOUR candidate and that is what YOU VOTED FOR! No amount of weaseling about him not being your first choice can dissolve your guilt. Don't waste your breath bothering to continue the pose.

Your surrender monkey tactics have destroyed California and ITS GOP but you are not satisfied and want the nation and the good conservatives of the actual Republican Party. What makes you think that conservatives or any patriots owe you or Romney or McCain or McConnell or Boehner or Ryano or McCarthy or Bush the Elder or Ford or Nixon their precious vote? Or that they must surrender their morality and integrity so that you may wallow in your "misery makes company" mode. As my late mother and late grandmother used to say: Show me your friends and I'll tell you what you are. Eternal Vigilance is my friend and Romney is yours. Must suck to be you!

I likely will stop wasting my time responding to you. You have no rationality. You have no shame. You have no principles. You have no clue. I would also wager that you have nothing in the way of a relevant resume (match mine against yours anytime you like).

You are the ultimate Low Information voter as proven by the utter lack of substantive arguments in your posts here. Again and again, it is just RINO's and social revolutionaries in GOP-E drag are just soooooo wonderful! And Demonrats are all boogiemen.

When I was at dialysis today, I saw a T-shirt worn by a middle aged black woman patient. It said: "You can't scare me! I've got kids!" And I can confidently tell you that the sissy wing of what used to be the Republican Party can't and won't be scaring my kids either. They were raised right. Take your abject fear of the boogieman and put it where the sun shineth not.

I will not change course and there is absolutely NO REASON why I should. My life is not threatened. Sorry about yours if yours is threatened but that is what you get for voting FOR an amoral/immoral monster like Romney. Such behavior makes you expendable without cost to the conservative movement, Ideas Have Consequences. Read the late Richard Weaver's book to that effect. Do you/can you read books? CONSERVATIVE books? Which ones, if any, do you like and admire? Why? Which do you reject and why? I suspect I should not hold my vreath waiting for your answer with specifics, just more of what Reagan called scrawling your obscenities on the outhouse wall with a grease pencil, but, hey!, surprise me and everyone else.

Read enough books like Ideas Have Consequences and works of Bill Buckley, Bill Rusher, Frank Meyer, Willmoore Kendall, Ludwig von Mises, Friedrich von Hayek, Will Herberg, Robert Nozick, Alexander Bickel, Martin Diamond, Norman Podhoretz, Midge Decter, Sir Martin Gilbert, Blessed Fulton J. Sheen, Dietrich von Hildebrand, Hillaire Belloc, Gilbert Keith Chesterton, C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien, Charles Williams, and so many, many more who devoted their lives to articulating an eloquent and wise vision of which you are quite obviously ignorant and that you therefore reject. But, hey! Prove me wrong about your ignorance.

As C. S. Lewis might have said: You are a man with no chest. You and your candidates lose and lose and lose again and ALWAYS will because you have NOTHING WORTHWHILE to offer. Other than: But, but, but.... we are NOT Demonrats. Not good enough!

It WOULD be nice if the last American driven from Californicate would take your only remaining asset, "wonderful weather" and bring it to us in the upper Midwest where we will put it to better use.

Oh, and spare us the usual intellectually dishonest tactic of folks like you of cherry-picking the massive works of Bill Buckley or the public remarks of Ronaldus Maximus to justify your ideological apostasy and vacantness. When I lived in the Northeast, my wife was employed by Bill Buckley and we attended his Christmas parties in Manhattan and I was Reagan's state chair when he challenged the last feckless wimp "Republican" to be elected before him. "Bold colors, no pale pastels! We won't turn our party over to our opponents in the recent struggle (i.e. Ford)" Address those before you try to pass off Gaylord Parkinson's Law (the so-called 11th Commandment) as though it were Reagan's.

You are not fit to utter his name. AND bear in mind that your boy Romney did not even vote for Reagan, as he revealed in his campaign against Ted the Swimmer. He had not become a "severe conservative" yet and, of course, he never became even a milquetoast "conservative." And neither, apparently have you and those mules like you.

Romney would not have made the decisions Obama has.

I have no reason to believe that Romney would behave any different than Boehner or McConnell, maybe even worse.

A short while ago GA State Attorney General Sam Olens addressed our local county Republican meeting. After a nice little presentation and right before the Q & A he went into a short discourse about how proud he was to have been Romney's state chairman. The room grew cold.

Romney was a disaster. The Party picked the ONLY Republican in the entire country who could not credibly attack Obama on Romney/Obamacare, the #1 issue that gave us our House Majority.

In 1992, George the Elder was warned in New Hampshire by Pat Buchanan's strong 38% showing, a warning to get someone better or to at least hew to the people a bit more. Ignored. Incumbent Bush didn't even GET 38% in the General.

In 2012, with plenty of warning, a battery of underfunded candidates exposed Romney's weaknesses. To no avail. Romney worked dirty behind the scenes like it was D-Day, and then became Caspar Milquetoast when it came to the Obamas.

I understand people who chose Romney as the lesser of two evils. You must understand that a critical mass who will no longer submit our votes to extortion will not. Crying about it won't change that. This means no more Romneys, no more McCains, no more Doles, no more Boehners, no more Cantors. And certainly no more Bushes.

John Ellis Bush did this country and his party a big favor when he announced that he was going to win without the base. It has been going just slightly better than Giuliani deciding he didn't need pro-lifers. John Ellis Bush is learning what abandoning the base means, and we shouldn't let up until he is humiliated in real elections, including Florida, or quits before he embarrasses his entire family further.

For 50 years we conservatives have listened to the now obsolete example of Barry Goldwater as an excuse not to nominate conservatives. We now have Dole, McCain and Romney as counters to that. Those who voted for the lesser of two evils, risking the soul of the Republican Party should just put it behind you. Crying about 2012 or 2008 isn't going to get any votes for the conservative or even a compromise candidate. And only makes discord among us.

You might say that an anti-Romney guy talked first.

That's right. Romney lost. He deserved to lose. If we get any more Romneys, they will lose. Whatever Trump's weaknesses, he has shown that you don't have to go Ford/Rockefeller to expand the conservative/Republican voting pool. Goldwater was 50 years ago, Romney was three.

He and his ilk will not get a whole lot of conservative votes just as surely as a2 + b2 = c2. Arguing with the equation will not change the hypotenuse's mind.
