“Yeah, change a 250 year old process and revamp an entire production line to cater to 6% of the market.”

They will lose a bigger market share once people find out the taste is different. But hey, the 6% of vegans who might enjoy a Guinness will be happy.

I don’t think it’s just for Vegans. A lot of people were really put off by the whole fish bladders stuff once it started making the rounds.

I’ve been drinking Guinness for 25 years. I still do, but I don’t lift a pint anymore without the term “fish bladders” immediately popping into my head.

It’s a product change to something used to clarify the beer and nearly all filtered out before bottling. I doubt if they didn’t do a press release about it that anyone would even notice.
