They lost game one in 14 innings, and could easily have won that one to be up 2 games to 1. It's not like they have tanked, like the Cubs did. But they do need to win all 3 in NY. If they go into KC down 3 games to 2, I don't see them pulling it out.
The red Sox had 3 straight losses and went on to win the ALCS in 2004 against the Yankees.
