Not all of us New Yorkers are “commie loving,” y’know. And rooting against a sports team because of the politics of the city where they play is...a bit sad.

(1) I can't stand Billy Joel. I don't know why Citifield adopted that song as a "go to" this season. It has zero thematic resonance. Maybe there's a deal? The Wilpons need money.

(2) I am a diehard Mets fan. The team has accomplished more, and more quickly, than I imagined this season. Man, I want this Series!

(3) It's impossible to hate the Royals. They're a gutsy team with a class act for a manager and great fans. Kauffman Stadium is a great park. The Royals have been waiting even longer than the Mets for a Series and they came so close last year.

Nice mature attitude you got there. Chances are pretty good that for all the liberals in NYC, there are more conservatives in the city than the entire population of your county. And a good many of the outrageous commie-loving NYers happen to hail from elsewhere. People just migrate there. You know, the huddled masses and all that. NYC is a great town that attracts all sorts of people.
