Leaning Right :" Just something to consider when
throwing those gently used clothes into a donation bin..."

I knew of an aquaintance who worked at one of these clothing donation sites where he was a paid employee .
All the donations were bundled in large weighed bales
and were sold to emerging markets for their fibers and content by weight .
They were a "non-profit" as the employees made a living wage, and the director/CEO had an exorbitant salary, until there was no profit .
They complied with the letter of the law , but not with the 'spirit of the law' .

Before reading your post my bet was and is______

That the scammer company mentioned in this article is:
1) run by immigrant scammers
2) most of the clothing donations are baled up and sold to Africa and the Third World
3) The best items are culled out and sold here
