He NEVER renounced violence, either.
That’s a believable non trivial fact.
BTW: I was a kid delivering newspapers back in the 1970’s and subsequently became fascinated with current events.
One newspaper cover I’ll never forget was of the “necklaced” charred severed head bodies that Winnie Mandela ordered killed. She once bragged that she her power came from matches and petrol, which her ANC ultimately burned to death, thousands of innocent blacks to intimidate and keep power.
