I do not subscribe to the Mannateck product. But, I have known a couple of intelligent, very sensible people, one a PhD and former administrator of a Christian university, who report that it did them much good (health conditions)...
I say, this dog is a bit questionable but really doesn’t hunt very well. Let’s evaluate Carson on his positions and character, and besides he is not running for the job of Surgeon General of the USA (albeit his name has been mentioned for it)
I don’t know if the real question is the efficacy of the product; the question is did he have involvement with the company and lie about it?
“Letâs evaluate Carson on his positions and character”
This directly speaks to his character as well as his critical thinking faculty and judgment. And otherwise he would have made a great Surgeon General.
That’s the issue. Carson lent his weight as a brain surgeon, his face and his name to sell a product through at least 3 different infomercials he made, then he bald faced lied during the debate about his involvement with this company. If that doesn’t speak to character, what does?
He made paid speeches, infomercials and a PBS special for this company and then claimed he had no involvement to the company. That goes to character.
Now lets talk about his positions. He changed his position on subsidies during the debate (now against). He is still in favor of amnesty, wants gun control on some weapons and in some areas, wants to eliminate Social Security and Medicare, and has very strong ties to Al Sharpton and Louis Farrakhan, whom he says should be leading public policy in Chicago. His faith teaches Pacifism (non combat), so he can’t possibly be an effective Commander in Chief. Some people object to his being a member (Elder) of one of the four major Cults in the world.
I can’t find a single reason to vote for this man.
