More times than not when I hold a door for or give a seat to a female they act quite surprised. Lost count of how many times I’ve seen men going into stores, restaurants etc. with a woman and just walking in front with complete disregard. Kind of a sad commentary on the general manners of men nowadays......... just my old fashioned 2 cent.
