While it’s cool to see such a large scale, it’s not so much pumpkins and squash but mowed weeds, plowed dirt and mulch that makes up the colors making it a let down.

Some years ago I was driving across the USA and low and behold I had a breakdown on a Sunday afternoon on a flat stretch of interstate in Kansas. Lots of growling made me think my transmission had gone but it turned out it was the fuel pump. Nearest town was Goodland Kansas so I was towed there and the vehicle left at an auto shop which would open Monday morning. So I stayed at the nearest motel and right across from it was a large easel with one of Van Gogh's Sunflower paintings which thanks to the internet I found a photo of. It left an indelible impression on me as well as always knowing now that Kansas is known as the Sunflower state.
