The Muslim problem is WAY DOWN SOUTH of the Philippines in the Southern Island of Mindanao, near Malaysia ( a Muslim country ). See this map ( the red spots are the problem areas ). Palawan is the long snake like island to the west.

No, that’s the southern island of Mindanao.
I think there are a few muzzies at the far tip of Palawan, but the militants don’t usually operate that far north.
