Wilbon is a longtime Cubs fan, so he's seen worse. He'll be angry, nauseated, perhaps depressed, maybe humiliated, but he won't jump.

Whether Cubs fans admit it or not, and I admit it, we knew the Cubs would lose this series. We probably didn't expect to be steamrolled quite like this, but deep down we know winning just isn't the Cubs' thing.

I'm blaming Obama's congratulatory tweet after the NLDS for this ignominious ending.
